Deep blue powder. Relative density 1.8g/cm3. Insoluble in water, ethanol, and ether, soluble in acids and alkalis. Bright color, strong coloring power, strong diffusion, and large oil absorption. The powder is relatively hard and not easy to grind. It can withstand sunlight and dilute acid, but it will decompose when boiled with concentrated sulfuric acid; it has weak resistance to alkalis, and even dilute alkalis can decompose it. It cannot be used with alkaline pigments.

Deep blue inorganic pigment, mainly used in coatings and inks and other industrial applications, without bleeding of color. Can be mixed with lead chromate yellow to form lead chromate green, which is a commonly used green pigment in paints. It can also be used for coloring in art supplies such as crayons, carbon paper, and other educational products.
